Narrative:

During arrival the improper altimeter setting was transposed onto the ATIS card. The actual altimeter was 29.87 and 29.57 was written down. The ILS approach was conducted and a missed approach occurred do to the aircraft being approximately 400 feet above DH when the missed approach was executed. The published missed approach was executed and as the aircraft leveled off at 2000 ft it was actually at 2400 ft. An updated altimeter was entered and the aircraft executed another approach and landed without incident.

Title: B737 Captain reports a missed approach after attempting and ILS with the wrong altimeter setting. This results in the missed approach being initiated 400 feet above DH. The error is detected and corrected with the second approach being successful
