Narrative:
My company uses 2 different routes between sea and anc. The outside route (sea-J523 tou J501 yzp.fired.eeden. Snout J111 anc) for large transport type B. The inside route (sea-J523 tou J501 bka J133 anc) for large transport type a. Our error, was assuming the company dispatcher had filed us the same routing as depicted on our computer flight plan. We were flight xx sea-anc. Normally this flight is an large transport type B but instead, the company swapped airplanes to a large transport type a (without life rafts/RNAV etc). We needed to be filed on the inside route and our computer flight plan depicted us on the inside route. Everything seemed to be ok. I copied our clearance as filed (caf) and the flight proceeded normally, till about 15 northwest of yzp when vancouver center asked us 'where 'ya going' and I told him bka J133 anc. He responded, ok, I have you filed over FIR4D and eeden (outside route), you're not cleared to anc as you stated. Don't trust dispatch to refile your clearance for irregularities. Ask for and receive a full route clearance. Don't assume!

Title: ACR LGT DEVIATED FROM CLRNC ROUTE SEA ANC.
Narrative: MY COMPANY USES 2 DIFFERENT ROUTES BETWEEN SEA AND ANC. THE OUTSIDE ROUTE (SEA-J523 TOU J501 YZP.FIRED.EEDEN. SNOUT J111 ANC) FOR LGT TYPE B. THE INSIDE ROUTE (SEA-J523 TOU J501 BKA J133 ANC) FOR LGT TYPE A. OUR ERROR, WAS ASSUMING THE COMPANY DISPATCHER HAD FILED US THE SAME ROUTING AS DEPICTED ON OUR COMPUTER FLT PLAN. WE WERE FLT XX SEA-ANC. NORMALLY THIS FLT IS AN LGT TYPE B BUT INSTEAD, THE COMPANY SWAPPED AIRPLANES TO A LGT TYPE A (WITHOUT LIFE RAFTS/RNAV ETC). WE NEEDED TO BE FILED ON THE INSIDE ROUTE AND OUR COMPUTER FLT PLAN DEPICTED US ON THE INSIDE ROUTE. EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE OK. I COPIED OUR CLRNC AS FILED (CAF) AND THE FLT PROCEEDED NORMALLY, TILL ABOUT 15 NW OF YZP WHEN VANCOUVER CENTER ASKED US 'WHERE 'YA GOING' AND I TOLD HIM BKA J133 ANC. HE RESPONDED, OK, I HAVE YOU FILED OVER FIR4D AND EEDEN (OUTSIDE ROUTE), YOU'RE NOT CLRED TO ANC AS YOU STATED. DON'T TRUST DISPATCH TO REFILE YOUR CLRNC FOR IRREGULARITIES. ASK FOR AND RECEIVE A FULL ROUTE CLRNC. DON'T ASSUME!
