Narrative:
While loading the aft cargo compartment with mail sacks using a belt loader; we noticed multiple sacks that kept getting caught between the belt conveyer and the new roller on the front of this newly modified belt loader. While [cargo bay handler] was trying to un-catch the mail reaching out of the cargo compartment his glove also got caught in the same roller area. Fortunately the thumb of the glove ripped off before his hand was sucked into the conveyor and roller area.
