Narrative:
During final approach to atl, about the time the landing gear was extended and the flaps lowered to 30 degree, EICAS displayed message 'left wing slide' accompanied by 'emergency doors' light on overhead panel. Abnormal procedure was reviewed. Approach was continued to a normal landing. At gate arrival, maintenance reported our left wing slide had been deployed and had separated from aircraft.
