Narrative:
It was the second leg of my day which was a VFR flight to ZZZ with 4 passengers onboard. My first officer (first officer) and I had a very ordinary engine start and taxi from [the FBO] to runway 1 at taxiway K completing all checklist and following all company SOP's including a briefing of action to be taken in the event of an aborted takeoff. After holding short of runway 1 at K; I was cleared for an immediate takeoff from runway 1 at K due to landing traffic on runway 6. My first officer and I completed our final items checklist and we lined up and started our takeoff roll from runway 1 at K with out delay. My first officer was making standard call outs during the takeoff roll and just prior to hearing my first officer call 'rotate'; I heard tower cancel my takeoff clearance. Tower then instructed the traffic landing on runway 6 to go around. I then brought my power lever into reverse and applied braking to ensure I stopped prior to the intersection of runway 1 and 6 and in doing so; I flat spotted my left main tire and ruptured my right main tire. We then continued to roll down the runway until coming to a stop approximately midway down runway 1 just right of centerline. I then announced that I was disabled on the runway to tower. As the emergency vehicles made their way to my aircraft; my first officer and I ran our shutdown checklist; shutdown the engine; and coordinated with the emergency response personnel to get my passengers back to [the FBO] and to get the aircraft towed back to [the FBO]. There were no injuries during the event.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A pilot and co-pilot report of being cleared for takeoff. The co-pilot reports rotate and at the same time the control tower tells this crew to cancel take off clearance. While stopping; the aircraft sustains a flat spot on the left main tire and a rupture to the right main tire. The pilot announces they are disabled on the runway; emergency equipment meets the aircraft and the aircraft eventually gets towed back to the FBO.
