Narrative:
During WX briefing by el paso FSS, NOTAMS were not provided with regard to ols. En route to ols, ATC, tucson FSS and approach failed to mention that airport main runway was notamed closed. Once in contact with airport advisory (122.8), we were informed that they were using the taxiway for lndgs and takeoffs. After landing, tucson FSS (who we had been in contact with for 15 or 20 mins) informed us that taxiway was not authority/authorized for jet aircraft lndgs and takeoffs. Airport personnel informed us that our use of taxiway was ok, and that they did not want larger jets to use it. Lack of communications all around.
