Narrative:
Employee was starting unhooking process of air conditioning (AC) air hose; as employee kneeled under fuselage the aircraft air pack units started operation and immediately sucked the employee's hat into the intake. Tech ops had to come out to open up the left air pack unit to get the hat out of the system; there were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.
