Narrative:
1) missed julian VOR to the southwest, believed ramona was in the area of descent. 2) poor VOR work. 3) VOR showed julian to my left and rear. 4) dropped altitude to visually find unicom airport that I had passed earlier. Addressed gillespie on 122.8. Raised helicopter at the ground of runway 27. He warned of his position so I felt gillespie was unicom field and made wide left hand entry to runway 27 after last plane made landing. Upon landing I was stopped on runway 27 before runway 27L by red light, then green.. I taxied to tower and went into tower for my correct location. Realizing that I had crossed into miramar TCA, I could have also broken the floor of TCA. This was the first cross-country solo in 16 yrs since I was first licensed. I was signed off on the biannual, but I believe people who have had a great deal of time between biannuals, in my case 16 yrs, should be required to solo and do cross-countries much as if they were beginning again.
