Narrative:
Advanced throttles toward takeoff power, takeoff warning horn sounded, due to flaps not being selected prior to taking active runway. Low speed abort, below 60 KTS, taxied clear, reset flaps to 5 degree and was recleared for takeoff. On taxi out checklist was run but missed item due to the need to monitor clearance delivery to advise to change to ground and monitor ground to call aircraft before taxiing out of gate area. Suggest that the flap setting be on both tasi and before takeoff checklist, and be verified by both pilots that the flaps are selected to the proper setting.

Title: ACR MLG STARTED TKOF WITH WING FLAP[S RETRACTED. WARNING HORN ACTIVATED AND TKOF ABORT MADE AT 60 KTS.
Narrative: ADVANCED THROTTLES TOWARD TKOF PWR, TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED, DUE TO FLAPS NOT BEING SELECTED PRIOR TO TAKING ACTIVE RWY. LOW SPEED ABORT, BELOW 60 KTS, TAXIED CLEAR, RESET FLAPS TO 5 DEG AND WAS RECLEARED FOR TKOF. ON TAXI OUT CHECKLIST WAS RUN BUT MISSED ITEM DUE TO THE NEED TO MONITOR CLRNC DELIVERY TO ADVISE TO CHANGE TO GND AND MONITOR GND TO CALL ACFT BEFORE TAXIING OUT OF GATE AREA. SUGGEST THAT THE FLAP SETTING BE ON BOTH TASI AND BEFORE TKOF CHECKLIST, AND BE VERIFIED BY BOTH PLTS THAT THE FLAPS ARE SELECTED TO THE PROPER SETTING.
