Narrative:
I was pilot monitoring during departure on the HOLTZ9. We were cleared direct to pevee waypoint; captain (ca) selected pevee and we confirmed the selection. I looked away as he activated the fix. For some reason the fix was deleted and the ca reentered pevee and then resumed the SID. We were slightly northwest of the fix before making the correction.
