Narrative:
Taxied out to echo intersection. Winds reported light and variable. Very light load (10 passenger, 3 crew), so requested intersection departure. Were cleared for takeoff on 8 and turned left instead of right. Made immediate takeoff on runway 26. At approximately 300' AGL controller issued a turn to 360 degrees, 'immediately,' and informed us we had been cleared for takeoff on runway 8. We turned immediately--consideration was an medium large transport approximately 4 mi on approach to runway 8. Felt most contributing factor was pilot fatigue. This was the last leg of a 7 leg day, including a 1 1/2 hour VFR flight-see tour in very marginal WX. Our duty day had started at XX45 am with no scheduled breaks and short turnarounds between flts, with no chance to eat. We had gone into the terminal to grab a meal to be consumed in flight, agents holding door from being closed. We were rushed due to our company's scheduling.
