Narrative:

I entered the downwind leg of runway 22 and called chandler unicom. I went through my prelndg checklist--mixture full rich, fullest fuel tank, fuel boost pump on and seat belts on. I called chandler unicom as I turned base, set the second notch of flaps, and flew at 65-70 KTS. I called chandler unicom as I turned final and landed normally on runway 22. After T/D I put flaps up, went to full power and took off normally. At approximately 200' AGL, the engine quit, I change attitude to nose-down and tried cycling the magnetos. The engine didn't restart, so I concentrated on landing the airplane. I touched down 150' after the end of the runway. I put the brakes on hard, and as I approached a small hill I lost directional control. The airplane came to a stop on the road at the top of the hill. I believe I failed to switch to the fullest fuel tank during the prelndg checklist.

Title: ENGINE QUITE FROM FUEL EXHAUSTION WHILE MAKING TOUCH AND GO LNDGS.

Narrative: I ENTERED THE DOWNWIND LEG OF RWY 22 AND CALLED CHANDLER UNICOM. I WENT THROUGH MY PRELNDG CHKLIST--MIXTURE FULL RICH, FULLEST FUEL TANK, FUEL BOOST PUMP ON AND SEAT BELTS ON. I CALLED CHANDLER UNICOM AS I TURNED BASE, SET THE SECOND NOTCH OF FLAPS, AND FLEW AT 65-70 KTS. I CALLED CHANDLER UNICOM AS I TURNED FINAL AND LANDED NORMALLY ON RWY 22. AFTER T/D I PUT FLAPS UP, WENT TO FULL PWR AND TOOK OFF NORMALLY. AT APPROX 200' AGL, THE ENG QUIT, I CHANGE ATTITUDE TO NOSE-DOWN AND TRIED CYCLING THE MAGNETOS. THE ENG DIDN'T RESTART, SO I CONCENTRATED ON LNDG THE AIRPLANE. I TOUCHED DOWN 150' AFTER THE END OF THE RWY. I PUT THE BRAKES ON HARD, AND AS I APCHED A SMALL HILL I LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO A STOP ON THE ROAD AT THE TOP OF THE HILL. I BELIEVE I FAILED TO SWITCH TO THE FULLEST FUEL TANK DURING THE PRELNDG CHKLIST.
