Sighted a drone while approaching to land runway 22 at lga. It was seen within a 2 mile final slightly below and to the left of our aircraft at a distance of less than 100 yards. It was reported to the tower with a follow up phone call to the supervisor as requested by the controller in position.

Narrative: Sighted a drone while approaching to land RWY 22 at LGA. It was seen within a 2 mile final slightly below and to the left of our aircraft at a distance of less than 100 yards. It was reported to the tower with a follow up phone call to the supervisor as requested by the controller in position.
