Narrative:
Flight was [delayed] due to maintenance. When a plane was finally established for [trip #]; I found that it had a long history of air data computer 1 and 2 failures over the past few days. I spent a long period of time on the phone discussing the issues I had with the aircraft and after a 3 way phone call with [chief pilot]; it was agreed that he shared my concerns; but it was signed off airworthy. I accepted the flight. After take off; at approximately 5-600 feet; both adcs failed and air data went blank on both pdcs. We were able to re-acquire ADC1 (probably)...and returned...for normal landing in gusting winds. It is my belief that continued behavior to reset systems with recency of failure problems and return them to line service will have a disastrous outcome.
