Narrative:
Upon attempting to open forward passenger door at arrival; door would not open because the handrail pins were incorrectly put in. I think that the pins were incorrectly placed out of the gate on the early morning flight. Better training on the procedures of the Q400.

Title: Two Q400 flight attendants report separate anomalies on one of their flights. The B Flight Attendant reports the Customer Service Representative (CSR) sending passengers down without asking or informing the crew; and with the Lead Flight Attendant off the aircraft. Upon arrival at their destination; the A Flight Attendant wan unable to open the door because the handrail pins were incorrectly installed.
