Narrative:
Upon landing and doing my post flight walk around it was brought to my attention that the rear cargo bin was loaded with 42 united states postal bins. Neither the captain nor myself new anything about freight when leaving; nor was anything on the cargo load sheet. During my preflight walk around I was unable to get to the rear cargo bin because of equipment and the lav truck. Better communication [is needed] between ramp and the flight deck. Revising ramp procedures to make it required to open all cargo bins upon the unloading process.
