Narrative:
After landing at mdw, I called ground control for taxi clearance. Received no reply due to radio congestion. My captain made a second radio call to ground and still received no clearance, while I was on company frequency confirming gate assignment. By this time, we had already arrived at the gate due to its close proximity to the runway.

Title: ACR MLG UNSUCCESSFUL AT CONTACTING GND CTLR AFTER LNDG AT MDW, TAXIED TO GATE WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT MDW, I CALLED GND CTL FOR TAXI CLRNC. RECEIVED NO REPLY DUE TO RADIO CONGESTION. MY CAPT MADE A SECOND RADIO CALL TO GND AND STILL RECEIVED NO CLRNC, WHILE I WAS ON COMPANY FREQ CONFIRMING GATE ASSIGNMENT. BY THIS TIME, WE HAD ALREADY ARRIVED AT THE GATE DUE TO ITS CLOSE PROX TO THE RWY.
