Narrative:
Coming over the marker 27L at ord on a visual approach I commented on strong x-wind at alt and the large crab we had in. Winds were 190/46 and questioned why we don't use 22L/right anymore. At 750 feet we received an aural warning with a too low gear. We were at flaps 2 and 170. I then called for gear and flaps [and] landed normal. We should have gone around at the aural warning and even though the landing was normal it was not the SOP. Looking back on it we must have also missed the 1;000 feet call out. If not we would have seen the abnormal configuration.

We should have gone around at the aural warning and even though the landing was normal it was not the SOP. Looking back on it we must have also missed the 1;000 feet call out.
