Narrative:
Descending into bos via the ROBUC1 out of FL180 bos approach told us to cross provi at 11;000 feet; 250 kts. VNAV path was engaged and we were on the path. I was unable to program the FMC to accept the new clearance due to the multiple variable crossing and speed restrictions preloaded in the FMC arrival. Noting that I was still on path and provi had 11;000 feet on the legs page I assumed that I would cross at 11;000 feet and manually adjust the speed. I failed to notice the 'at or above' part. Work load was high due to checklists and briefings at this time. Approach handed us off to final approach and when the first officer checked in I saw that we were almost over provi and 3;000 feet high. ATC made no comment and there didn't appear to be any traffic conflicts. It should be noted that this occurred on a very high work load day three of a four day sequence. The leg being flown was [under an hour] off to on and we were running late due to departure problems in ZZZ.
