The navtech chart depiction of the MERIL7.meril is disconnected and gives the visual impression it is like the new half vector; half RNAV departures in clt. The departure is a RNAV off the runway SID. This has poor human factors design strictly for basis of space on a plate and small size. Poor design is complicated by the small screen area of the app further complicated by the small screen area of the ipad mini.
