Narrative:
Turning outbnd at 10,000' 344 radial gmn to arvin, bakersfield, ATC cleared me to 7000, then released me to 5000. There was a misunderstanding. They asked me my present altitude. I said 'leaving 8500 for 5000, do you need a faster descent.' controller stated he originally only cleared me to 9000, I disagreed. My right seater (another pilot) copies 7000 also. I had had a stuck microphone for 10 mins while with center also.

Narrative: TURNING OUTBND AT 10,000' 344 RADIAL GMN TO ARVIN, BAKERSFIELD, ATC CLRED ME TO 7000, THEN RELEASED ME TO 5000. THERE WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING. THEY ASKED ME MY PRESENT ALT. I SAID 'LEAVING 8500 FOR 5000, DO YOU NEED A FASTER DESCENT.' CTLR STATED HE ORIGINALLY ONLY CLRED ME TO 9000, I DISAGREED. MY RIGHT SEATER (ANOTHER PLT) COPIES 7000 ALSO. I HAD HAD A STUCK MICROPHONE FOR 10 MINS WHILE WITH CENTER ALSO.
