Narrative:
The first officer remarked a rather copious amount of grease was noticed on the nose gear and each main gear; as well as the ramp area beneath each gear during his external preflight. He described it as particularly sloppy grease work. We consulted a company mechanic about the situation; and he remarked; in paraphrase; 'that the night crew doesn't really care about the quality of work performed'; yet the situation didn't require cleanup.upon engine shutdown; both aft main fuel tank low pressure lights failed to illuminate; however; amp meter draw confirmed normal pump operation for both pumps; and both lights tested normally. Maintenance discovered a copious amount of grease in the east and east bay and suspected it was the cause of the failed low pressure annunciation.

Title: B737-800 Captain reported a large amount of grease around the landing gears and in the E&E compartment left over after midnight maintenance serviced the aircraft.
Narrative: The First Officer remarked a rather copious amount of grease was noticed on the nose gear and each main gear; as well as the ramp area beneath each gear during his external preflight.
