Narrative:
A new panel was ordered from shop. The panel holes from shop were too small and did not align with the structure. Holes were sized up on the bench; and were still too small. While installing panel holes were so far off it needed to be drilled up on aircraft. Was unaware any wiring was behind structure. Was unaware any damaged occurred while installing panel. Holes in the panel did not align with the holes in the structure. Holes in panel were incorrect size for the rivnuts. Holes in panel already drilled up to proper size.
