Narrative:
On approach into mpto ATC slowed us to 250kts; but this left us high. I fully configured to gear down flaps 30 and ref plus 5 at 153 knots. At localizer capture with the autopilot and autothrottle on aircraft banked hard for the localizer and lost a headwind component which slowed the aircraft below ref with a momentary stick shaker. I disconnected the autopilot and advanced the throttles and continued the approach. We flew a stabilized approach; but in the flare gusty winds caused me to add power at touchdown--the aircraft hit the runway and skipped so at that point I did a go around; and returned to an uneventful landing.
