Narrative:
Approximately 1 hour before landing our purser made an announcement that; due to a malfunction of the entertainment system; all entertainment and power ports will be shut off; and remain off until gate arrival. Note: not unusual; we had issues with the inflight entertainment (ife) at takeoff.I was informed by another crew member that there had been an electrical fire/smoke at a [first class] passenger seat; from the power port. [A passenger] said 'it was probably because 'that guy' had plugged too many things into the power port'i [did] not directly witness [the event]; nor did I know which seat was involved. There was no other indication that there was smoke in the cabin.
