Narrative:
This was the first solo flight in this particular aircraft. As a result I took extra time reviewing the procedures and checklists (15 mins in the aircraft before starting the engine). In addition, I put the checklist on my clipboard for easy reference. When I started the engine and turned on the beacon, I heard a faint beeping sound. Switching the beacon on/off, I determined that it was causing the sound. I received taxi clearance and proceeded to the run-up area. The run-up was normal and I received my takeoff clearance. The approach and landing were uneventful. By the time I was again at the key position, I was again high and fast. The tower was talking to me and I was deciding I would have to extend my downwind to slow things down. At this point, I reached for the flap lever and bypassed the lowering of the gear. I was now going through the checklist, but had skipped the gear time. Everything was find through the approach, including a final check of mixture, propeller, flaps, trim, gas but no gear. I heard a very faint beeping in my ear, but decided that it was the beacon light. The next odd point was after the flare, when the aircraft settled more than expected and I pulled back on the yoke to compensate. It seemed odd that I should flare too high, but I thought I had just overestimated my ht. The aircraft then contacted the ground and slid 600' to a stop.

Title: LOW TIME PLT NEW TO ACFT--FIRST SOLO FLT. LANDED GEAR UP.
Narrative: THIS WAS THE FIRST SOLO FLT IN THIS PARTICULAR ACFT. AS A RESULT I TOOK EXTRA TIME REVIEWING THE PROCS AND CHKLISTS (15 MINS IN THE ACFT BEFORE STARTING THE ENG). IN ADDITION, I PUT THE CHKLIST ON MY CLIPBOARD FOR EASY REF. WHEN I STARTED THE ENG AND TURNED ON THE BEACON, I HEARD A FAINT BEEPING SOUND. SWITCHING THE BEACON ON/OFF, I DETERMINED THAT IT WAS CAUSING THE SOUND. I RECEIVED TAXI CLRNC AND PROCEEDED TO THE RUN-UP AREA. THE RUN-UP WAS NORMAL AND I RECEIVED MY TKOF CLRNC. THE APCH AND LNDG WERE UNEVENTFUL. BY THE TIME I WAS AGAIN AT THE KEY POS, I WAS AGAIN HIGH AND FAST. THE TWR WAS TALKING TO ME AND I WAS DECIDING I WOULD HAVE TO EXTEND MY DOWNWIND TO SLOW THINGS DOWN. AT THIS POINT, I REACHED FOR THE FLAP LEVER AND BYPASSED THE LOWERING OF THE GEAR. I WAS NOW GOING THROUGH THE CHKLIST, BUT HAD SKIPPED THE GEAR TIME. EVERYTHING WAS FIND THROUGH THE APCH, INCLUDING A FINAL CHK OF MIXTURE, PROP, FLAPS, TRIM, GAS BUT NO GEAR. I HEARD A VERY FAINT BEEPING IN MY EAR, BUT DECIDED THAT IT WAS THE BEACON LIGHT. THE NEXT ODD POINT WAS AFTER THE FLARE, WHEN THE ACFT SETTLED MORE THAN EXPECTED AND I PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE TO COMPENSATE. IT SEEMED ODD THAT I SHOULD FLARE TOO HIGH, BUT I THOUGHT I HAD JUST OVERESTIMATED MY HT. THE ACFT THEN CONTACTED THE GND AND SLID 600' TO A STOP.
