Narrative:
During cruise flight; the level one 'batt low' alert illuminated. The consequences were to land at the nearest suitable airport. We coordinated with our flight dispatch [and] maintenance and determined [which nearby] airport was the most suitable. Coordinated with ATC; and planned our return for landing. Fuel dumping was necessary and completed. All checklists were completed and landing was completed uneventfully. We had the benefit of good flight conditions; good operational support; and capable ATC to assist us in dealing with this event.
