Narrative:
Aircraft X on V25 descended below the MEA and minimum IFR altitude due to the downdrafts. At the lowest the aircraft descended to 7200 MSL. The aircraft turned around and headed towards lower terrain. Eventually the pilot cancelled IFR and continued on to his destination.

Title: ZSE ARTCC Controller reported an aircraft encountered downdrafts which pushed the aircraft below the Minimum IFR Altitudes on the airway.
Narrative: Aircraft X on V25 descended below the MEA and Minimum IFR Altitude due to the downdrafts. At the lowest the aircraft descended to 7200 MSL. The aircraft turned around and headed towards lower terrain. Eventually the pilot cancelled IFR and continued on to his destination.
