Aircraft X started getting continuous light bordering on moderate chop. I knew there was moderate turbulence reported 30-40 miles ahead. I descended aircraft X from 26;000 feet to 24;000 feet. I did not think about special use airspace being active.[the airspace] is not active very often so when it is; I need to double remind myself it is.
