Airspeed on both sides gradually spread apart; until auto pilot kicked off. [Advised ATC] when I realized that airspeed was no longer usable while running a checklist. Side 2 worked so I switched to that. Landed without issue.

Title: EA50 pilot experienced a gradual failure of the left seat airspeed indicator. It was determined that the right side airspeed indicator was accurate and was used to divert for a precautionary landing.
Narrative: Airspeed on both sides gradually spread apart; until auto pilot kicked off. [Advised ATC] when I realized that airspeed was no longer usable while running a checklist. Side 2 worked so I switched to that. Landed without issue.
