Narrative:
On upwind in the traffic pattern; CHT3 temperatures rose to indicate red; and engine felt rough. Instructor informed tower and asked if aircraft could get priority landing on either runway xyl or xyc. Tower offered landing on runway za; ip accepted and aircraft made a precautionary landing on runway za. Taxi back and parking as normal. After landing; cht returned to normal and no engine roughness noticed.

Title: While in the traffic pattern; a SR20 instructor reported an abnormal cylinder head indication. He advised the Tower and made a successful precautionary landing.
Narrative: On upwind in the traffic pattern; CHT3 temperatures rose to indicate red; and engine felt rough. Instructor informed tower and asked if aircraft could get priority landing on either Runway XYL or XYC. Tower offered landing on Runway ZA; IP accepted and aircraft made a precautionary landing on Runway ZA. Taxi back and parking as normal. After landing; CHT returned to normal and no engine roughness noticed.
