Narrative:
I was working west radar and had taken a hand-off from cleveland approach for aircraft X. Around the same time I had taken a hand off on another aircraft inbound to erie that was a student pilot. I was distracted by working the student pilot; trying to figure out if he was a full stop or a stop and go; so I could pass this information on to the tower. After the student pilot departed he asked to go to one of our satellite airports and then back to [an airport] which is in cle approaches airspace. I then issued a new code for the student pilot and looked at aircraft X route of flight. Believing I had enough time to amend the student pilot's route of flight so that is would handoff to cle approach. I then walked over to the arrival data position and entered in an amendment to the student pilot's flight plan. When I walked back over to the scope I noticed aircraft X route of flight was getting closer and closer to dresdens (ZOB) airspace without a point out. I immediately called dresden sector and pointed out aircraft X. I was simply distracted by the student pilot needing help.

Title: ERI TRACON Controller reported of a situation where he thought he had time to do a few tasks; but ended having to point out an aircraft at the last minute.
