Narrative:
At cruise FL230 I heard a loud crack and cabin depressurized. I donned oxygen mask and initiated an emergency descent. Passengers [notified] me that the left forward window was cracked. While descending; ATC called and I responded standby. I tuned 7700 on transponder and called ATC and notified him of [the situation] once I had aircraft stabilized in descent. I then diverted to ZZZ.
