Narrative:
Flying cross-country in MVFR. About 10 mi southwest of destination, ceiling started to drop and so did visibility. Navigation was being accomplished by following major roads. Due to visibility limitations, I missed an intersection turn. After discovering problem, I stopped cruise and hovered to read large interstate over the road sign.

Title: A LOST HELICOPTER PLT HOVERS BY INTERSTATE SIGN TO SEE WHERE HE IS.
Narrative: FLYING CROSS-COUNTRY IN MVFR. ABOUT 10 MI SW OF DEST, CEILING STARTED TO DROP AND SO DID VISIBILITY. NAVIGATION WAS BEING ACCOMPLISHED BY FOLLOWING MAJOR ROADS. DUE TO VISIBILITY LIMITATIONS, I MISSED AN INTXN TURN. AFTER DISCOVERING PROBLEM, I STOPPED CRUISE AND HOVERED TO READ LARGE INTERSTATE OVER THE ROAD SIGN.
