During approach with flaps at 25 selected and indicated flap lever selected to 30 but flap gauge stayed at 25. Initiated go around and completed checklist and [advised] ATC. Landed with flaps at 25. Landing weight 135;000. Log book entry made and advised outbound crew and maintenance of flap issue. Advised maintenance that no flap over speed observed.
