Narrative:
Upon rotation and captain call for gear up the trim runaway cas (crew alerting system) message and aural warning came on. The captain interrupted the trim and we immediately let unicom know we were [in an emergency situation] and coming back to land. When we tried to trim back nose down it stopped the trim from going up but as soon as the trim switch on the yoke was released it continued to trim up. I as the first officer had to help the captain land the aircraft due to strong control forces. Landing was uneventful and taxied into the ramp.
