Narrative:
We had just passed over bdl VOR and the ZBW controller on 135.47 gave us a heading off course of 330 degrees for traffic. He then handed us off to another ZBW controller (frequency 125.57). After having been on this 330 degree heading for 5-7 mins, the controller came on the air instructing air carrier X flight dbe to turn to a 270 degree heading and descend to FL270, 'traffic alert!'. We were air carrier X flight dbh, so we asked if those instructions were for us. He responded with 'air carrier X dbh, turn to heading 240 degrees and descend immediately to FL270--traffic alert, traffic at 2 O'clock, 7 mi, same altitude.' I saw the traffic and we turned and descended. The closest he got was approximately 6 mi. A minute or so later on the same frequency we heard the controller give air carrier Y a traffic alert also. As the controller was handing us off to the next sector he again incorrectly called us air carrier X adbh.

Title: WHILE BEING VECTORED BY ZBW, ACR LGT WAS ADVISED OF A CONFLICT ALERT AND TO TURN IMMEDIATELY AND DESCEND FOR TRAFFIC AVOIDANCE.
Narrative: WE HAD JUST PASSED OVER BDL VOR AND THE ZBW CTLR ON 135.47 GAVE US A HDG OFF COURSE OF 330 DEGS FOR TFC. HE THEN HANDED US OFF TO ANOTHER ZBW CTLR (FREQ 125.57). AFTER HAVING BEEN ON THIS 330 DEG HDG FOR 5-7 MINS, THE CTLR CAME ON THE AIR INSTRUCTING ACR X FLT DBE TO TURN TO A 270 DEG HDG AND DSND TO FL270, 'TFC ALERT!'. WE WERE ACR X FLT DBH, SO WE ASKED IF THOSE INSTRUCTIONS WERE FOR US. HE RESPONDED WITH 'ACR X DBH, TURN TO HDG 240 DEGS AND DSND IMMEDIATELY TO FL270--TFC ALERT, TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK, 7 MI, SAME ALT.' I SAW THE TFC AND WE TURNED AND DSNDED. THE CLOSEST HE GOT WAS APPROX 6 MI. A MINUTE OR SO LATER ON THE SAME FREQ WE HEARD THE CTLR GIVE ACR Y A TFC ALERT ALSO. AS THE CTLR WAS HANDING US OFF TO THE NEXT SECTOR HE AGAIN INCORRECTLY CALLED US ACR X ADBH.
