Narrative:

We were told to make a right base for runway 9R at medium large transport. I asked my student what runway we were landing on and she replied 9L, which is the runway we usually land on. I told here to call tower and make sure she was right. She was getting behind the aircraft, and did not make the call, but continued to 9L. I told my student to had for 9R and I made the call to tower, using the call sign from my previous lesson. Student was still heading for 9L. I looked outside and there was an aircraft Y on left base for 9L, approximately 300' and at the same altitude. Again I told the student to head for 9R, and called tower, still using the wrong call sign. I then realized I had been using the wrong call sign. Tower instructed us to go around and student kept heading for the wrong runway. I took the plane from her and performed the go around. We made right traffic for 9R.

Narrative: WE WERE TOLD TO MAKE A RIGHT BASE FOR RWY 9R AT MLG. I ASKED MY STUDENT WHAT RWY WE WERE LNDG ON AND SHE REPLIED 9L, WHICH IS THE RWY WE USUALLY LAND ON. I TOLD HERE TO CALL TWR AND MAKE SURE SHE WAS RIGHT. SHE WAS GETTING BEHIND THE ACFT, AND DID NOT MAKE THE CALL, BUT CONTINUED TO 9L. I TOLD MY STUDENT TO HAD FOR 9R AND I MADE THE CALL TO TWR, USING THE CALL SIGN FROM MY PREVIOUS LESSON. STUDENT WAS STILL HDG FOR 9L. I LOOKED OUTSIDE AND THERE WAS AN ACFT Y ON LEFT BASE FOR 9L, APPROX 300' AND AT THE SAME ALT. AGAIN I TOLD THE STUDENT TO HEAD FOR 9R, AND CALLED TWR, STILL USING THE WRONG CALL SIGN. I THEN REALIZED I HAD BEEN USING THE WRONG CALL SIGN. TWR INSTRUCTED US TO GO AROUND AND STUDENT KEPT HDG FOR THE WRONG RWY. I TOOK THE PLANE FROM HER AND PERFORMED THE GAR. WE MADE RIGHT TFC FOR 9R.
