Narrative:

I was flying with my instructor and we had just taken off. We were going to practice power off spot landings. It was a windy day. As I was in the landing phase; I started to sink abruptly; possible due to airspeed or a gust. I went to full throttle but the airplane hit the ground hard and the left wing contacted the ground. We did a go around and came around to land normally. On inspection of the airplane; we found damage to the left wing [and] damage to the tip tank. After an inspection by the mechanic on the field; we determined the airplane was not flyable. The airplane will be inspected and repaired.
