Narrative:
Aircraft was cleared to land on runway 32; and they requested to land long which I approved. As I watched aircraft I thought it was strange that it was floating so long over the runway; then I realized aircraft landed on taxiway a. I told the ground controller a king air just landed on taxiway a. Thankfully; no other aircraft were on taxiway a.I was not expecting the aircraft to land on taxiway a; and my expectation possibly caused a delay in recognizing the aircraft landed on the taxiway instead of runway 32. I will continue to remain vigilant and scan the runways and taxiways; and be more aware of the possibility of aircraft landing on taxiways.
