Narrative:
I assumed R06 position and complexity and volume was very high. Lots of weather; lots of deviation and holding over rmg. I was working aircraft that were deviating so much they sometimes didn't enter my airspace. ZME was giving point outs of R37 and I was working the aircraft sometimes 30 miles in their airspace. I always got control before I descended the aircraft but I may not have gotten control for turns on all of them. In the fourth line of data block all of the aircraft said 'D/rmg' or something to that effect. I thought that if I turned an aircraft a few degrees right or left and that R37 knew it was deviating that wouldn't be a problem.I was far too busy to call and coordinate on every aircraft. I needed help from the very start and once I received a D side the sector ran much smoother.staffing! Staffing! Staffing! Area 6 needs to be much better staffed when volume is expected to be high and especially in summer when you know you'll have lots of weather.
