Narrative:
After crossing ocn VOR I was given radar vectors to the ILS runway 28 at montgomery. The controller used non-standard language to me to request a speed change. I was in a cruise confign and he asked that I increase speed by saying, 'go fast.' I then had difficulty understanding controller and told him he was garbled. He seemed not to believe me. I think it was my position--about 10 mi north of montgomery. When he changed transmitters, it improved. During the time of garbled communications, I either missed the clear's direction to turn right to 250 degrees and intercept localizer, or he never gave it. At any rate, he told me to increase my rate of turn and I asked what heading he wanted. I was treated like a defiant child and told to increase turn rate. I refused and informed him my turn was at standard rate. The conduct of approach control was unprofessional. I was told to increase rate of turn only because he didn't want to vector me onto the localizer from the south side. Additionally, the controller acted as though the garbled communication from him was my problem, not his, when he finally switched transmitters, he was loud and clear.

Title: REPORTER COMPLAINS ABOUT POOR ATC SERVICE WHILE APCHING ARPT.
Narrative: AFTER XING OCN VOR I WAS GIVEN RADAR VECTORS TO THE ILS RWY 28 AT MONTGOMERY. THE CTLR USED NON-STANDARD LANGUAGE TO ME TO REQUEST A SPD CHANGE. I WAS IN A CRUISE CONFIGN AND HE ASKED THAT I INCREASE SPD BY SAYING, 'GO FAST.' I THEN HAD DIFFICULTY UNDERSTANDING CTLR AND TOLD HIM HE WAS GARBLED. HE SEEMED NOT TO BELIEVE ME. I THINK IT WAS MY POS--ABOUT 10 MI N OF MONTGOMERY. WHEN HE CHANGED XMITTERS, IT IMPROVED. DURING THE TIME OF GARBLED COMS, I EITHER MISSED THE CLR'S DIRECTION TO TURN RIGHT TO 250 DEGS AND INTERCEPT LOC, OR HE NEVER GAVE IT. AT ANY RATE, HE TOLD ME TO INCREASE MY RATE OF TURN AND I ASKED WHAT HDG HE WANTED. I WAS TREATED LIKE A DEFIANT CHILD AND TOLD TO INCREASE TURN RATE. I REFUSED AND INFORMED HIM MY TURN WAS AT STANDARD RATE. THE CONDUCT OF APCH CTL WAS UNPROFESSIONAL. I WAS TOLD TO INCREASE RATE OF TURN ONLY BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO VECTOR ME ONTO THE LOC FROM THE S SIDE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CTLR ACTED AS THOUGH THE GARBLED COM FROM HIM WAS MY PROB, NOT HIS, WHEN HE FINALLY SWITCHED XMITTERS, HE WAS LOUD AND CLEAR.
