Narrative:
While climbing to FL430 from FL410 to avoid some storms in front of us; we inadvertently entered an imbedded storm while in IMC that was not depicted on our radar. After asking for left deviations and exiting the cloud; our left engine failed. We were unable to maintain altitude and told atc. We were given a descent to FL370 and were able to get the engine restarted. The reason for the report is when we originally lost the engine we were unable to hold altitude and deviated from our assigned altitude.
Original NASA ASRS Text
