Narrative:
Arrived at destination with weather 700 scattered and visibility 7 NM. Scattered layer from 700 to 1500 and clear above. Departed 1.5 hours earlier with VFR flight at 11;500 to destination staying clear of local MOA's. Pattern altitude at destination is 1500 feet with left traffic. Winds were calm with no other aircraft in the pattern. Flew pattern higher at 2000 feet to stay clear of clouds; descended VFR in a tight left base entry remaining clear of clouds to runway 13 with flaps 20; speed brakes deployed and gear handle down. Aircraft is equipped with a single red wheels-up light and single green wheels-down light (no 3 green light system installed in this model). Observed no red light but failed to confirm if green light was illuminated during the landing flare. Aircraft settled awkwardly and came to rest on main gear partially extended and nose gear still retracted. After exiting aircraft airport manager observed gear handle down; main gear doors partially opened; and main gear circuit breaker popped. Circuit breaker difficult to see from PIC position. Failed to confirm the one green light was illuminated prior to landing flare while focused on the close tight pattern to the runway. Being a low wing aircraft no visible gear confirmation possible.
