Narrative:
Boston approach vectored us for a visual 22R. Several other aircraft had trouble seeing in their similar apches due to low scattered clouds at 2000' from a dissipating overcast. We saw the airport, were cleared for the visual, turned over to tower, and then lost the airport due to clouds. I climbed away, told tower of the problem and was directed into right traffic to a landing. No subsequent comment was made. Since much traffic was departing and arriving, a potential conflict could have occurred. I think ATC should be more conservative about its consideration of WX suitable for visuals before telling aircraft to expect them. Logan's WX was not suitable for visuals to 22R safely.

Title: LTT PIC ACCEPTS VISUAL AND LOSES SIGHT OF ARPT DUE TO CLOUDS OBSTRUCTING FORWARD VISIBILITY. MAKES MISSED APCH.
Narrative: BOSTON APCH VECTORED US FOR A VISUAL 22R. SEVERAL OTHER ACFT HAD TROUBLE SEEING IN THEIR SIMILAR APCHES DUE TO LOW SCATTERED CLOUDS AT 2000' FROM A DISSIPATING OVERCAST. WE SAW THE ARPT, WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL, TURNED OVER TO TWR, AND THEN LOST THE ARPT DUE TO CLOUDS. I CLIMBED AWAY, TOLD TWR OF THE PROBLEM AND WAS DIRECTED INTO RIGHT TFC TO A LNDG. NO SUBSEQUENT COMMENT WAS MADE. SINCE MUCH TFC WAS DEPARTING AND ARRIVING, A POTENTIAL CONFLICT COULD HAVE OCCURRED. I THINK ATC SHOULD BE MORE CONSERVATIVE ABOUT ITS CONSIDERATION OF WX SUITABLE FOR VISUALS BEFORE TELLING ACFT TO EXPECT THEM. LOGAN'S WX WAS NOT SUITABLE FOR VISUALS TO 22R SAFELY.
