Narrative:
[I] was shooting the localizer approach [with a] circle to land [on another runway]. Prior to the circling altitude the aircraft was configured for landing with flaps 30 and the landing checklist was complete. As we commenced the circle to land I disengaged the autopilot and hand flew the duration of the approach. I descended on a base to final and started to overshoot the final. The captain mentioned I was starting to overshoot the final. I increased the bank angle to correct back on course. At about 500 feet I was correcting back to the center line and was on speed and vertical path. At about 100 feet I was slightly left of center line and correcting. The captain called for a go around; and I executed a go around up to 2000 ft. On the approach back to the airport we were notified that we might have scraped a wing tip and a runway inspection was being performed. We commenced the same approach with a circle to land. I flew the second approach and landed safely.
