Narrative:
We received weights just prior to pushback. As we were pushing; we got an ACARS message stating that the weights were no longer valid. After start; we got final weights again. Again we got a notification that the weights were no longer valid. Upon taxi clearance; we were given a different runway. To keep things simple we asked if we could use our planned runway. ATC advised that if we required the original runway that there could be delays. We ran the runway change checklist and then got another invalid weights ACARS message. We finally got the final weights just before the runway. From [pushback to the runway] the first officer was heads down working. He was working nonstop during the taxi. I am very familiar with ZZZ so I elected to continue taxiing. If this had occurred elsewhere I would have asked ATC for a place we could stop the aircraft. We had four different final weights; three invalid weights messages and one runway change. I felt safety was compromised since I was the only one with eyes outside.
