Narrative:
Runway 24L full length departure at lax; with the added distance; gives the very loud 'on taxiway' warning at the beginning of the takeoff roll. This work has been completed for a while now. The aircraft data base was just updated. The warning is very distracting and is giving negative results like a tolerance for false alarms. I know eventually it will be updated but it seems to be a low priority and I think it should be a high priority. If lax tower had issued a cancel or abort takeoff at that moment; we would not have heard it.
Original NASA ASRS Text
