Narrative:

Student was flying downwind for 10 and crew was monitoring the CTAF at X59 with a few other aircraft. When we looked to the runway; abeam the numbers; another aircraft; P28A; was flying directly at us and proceeded to turn a tight downwind inside of us; cutting us off and missing us by about 200 feet horizontally and 50 vertically. The aircraft came from the south of airport and overflew it at what appeared to be traffic pattern altitude before making a direct turn to downwind. Aircraft made no radio calls and responded to no calls while operating at the airport. Other aircraft is a local aircraft that should know the procedures when operating at that aircraft on a busy day.crew extended our downwind to avoid the other aircraft and warned all others on the CTAF of the non-communicating aircraft.
