Narrative:

This incident occurred on centennial airport. An executive jet pilot friend and I were flying to denver centennial airport from gunnison, co. He was dead-heading to catch a ride to tx from centennial and was flying the small aircraft, which belongs to me. Uneventful landing at centennial in 90 degree crosswind 17-21 KTS. Upon starting to turn right to taxi strip, left brake line broke resulting in ground loop and nose up. Left wheel dropped in soft mud. Pilot and I got out--no injuries--and he left for tx. It was 11-12 mins before anyone came to aircraft. Permission to tow aircraft to parking was given by the FAA control tower, airport authority and airport police or county sheriff deputy (not sure which). Aircraft had sustained both propeller blades bent and left wing tip damage. Aircraft tied down. I went to woodworking machinery show--my purpose in going to denver. Upon returning I went to my aircraft to get my headset and jacket. There was an 'aircraft condition notice,' FAA form 8620-1. The cashier handed me a note; it said to call FAA den FSDO as soon as possible. Since it was late pm, and a friend was waiting to give me a ride home, I left. Since I have flown civilian since 1947 and been an FBO, I have learned to contact my attorney on such matters. He called monday, and the inspector said aircraft had been moved west/O permission from NTSB and there was no registration certificate in aircraft. He indicated these were serious violations of FAA regulations and an investigation would be made, action would probably be taken against me to suspend or revoke my pilot certificate. I had removed registration certificate at police request so he could copy information directly from it. I did not put certificate back in holder, but put it in pocket on back of right-hand front seat--more convenient at the time. I am requesting immunity from any charges against my pilot certificate as a result of this incident. Callback was attempted to elicit additional information and outcome, however reporter did not return phone messages.
